This is a lot of two Universal Statuary Corp Asian men bookends dated 1958. These men are sitting cross-legged; one is writing in a notebook, the other is using an abacus.  They each have a little gilt trim for minor accent.

These men have black felt on bottom. They are each approx. 9.5" tall x 6.5" across (knee to knee) x 5.5" front to back.  The back of each has engraved "Universal Statuary Corp. Chicago 22©1958." The man with the notebook has S555L, and the man with the abacus has S555R.

These Chalk-ware studious men bookends are in very good condition with a few bumps and nicks.
