This is volumes 1 and 3 of the Dictionary of English Furniture by Percy Macquoid and Ralph Edwards. Please note, this is ONLY volumes 1 and 3. Volume 2 is missing. They are large hardcover books.
These books were published by Country Life in London. Volume 1 is dated 1924, and Volume 3 is dated 1927. They are first editions, though we do not know if they are first printing.
Each book measures 16.25" tall, 11.5" wide, and about 1.5" thick.
The covers of each book are rather worn, with heavy scuffing and shelf rub. Shelf rub has worn through to the boards on the corners. There has also been some significant damage to the outer covering of the spines. The good news is, the interior of the books is in good condition. The gold lettering and trim on the covers is bright and beautiful. These books come in acceptable antique condition, with significant cosmetic damage to the covers. There are several options for repair, or to cover this damage, but we felt it best to leave those decisions to the buyer. Please see our photos, and consider them part of our description.
