This is a Gray's Pottery Sunderland Lustreware Cup and Saucer Set with a Dickens Days scene.
These pieces were supplied to Gray's Pottery between in 1948 and 1961 by Johnson Bros. and were hand-painted by Gray's. On the bottom, they have the "Gray's Pottery Made in Stoke-On-Trent" yellow and black clipper ship back stamp, and underneath is the Johnson Bros. marks. The cup has "Johnson Bros England" pressed into the bottom, and the cup has an "Old English Johnson Bros England BY" blue stamp.
The scene on the pieces consists of a coach and horses in front of an Inn.
These pieces are in very good pre-owned condition. The saucer measures 5.75" in diameter. The cup measures 3.25" tall and 4.25" wide including the handle.
