This postcard measures 3.75” x 5.75” and features an illustration of S.S. "Wilfred Skyes," - Largest Ore Boats on the Great Lakes, which is noted on the top of the picture on the front.  This colorful postcard also is marked OC-H1325 on the bottom right corner of the postcard.

This postcard is free of hand-writing and printed on the back it reads – Published Exclusively For Lock City Novelty Co., Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. - Genuine Curteich-Chicago C.T. American Art Postcard (Reg. U.S. Pat. Off). It also reads - The S.S. "Wilfred Skyes", flagship of the Inland Steel Fleet was built at a cost of $5,000,000.00. With a length of 678 feet and width (beam) of 70 feet, it is the largest ship that can be operated on the Great Lakes. Its capacity is 21,700 tons and it will make a speed of 16 1/2 miles per hour loaded, 17 1/2 light, enabling it to make fourty-four 'round trips per season carrying iron ore from the head of Lake Superior of the mils at Indiana Harbor, Indiana. There is space on the back for a stamp, for a message and for an address.

This beautiful scenic postcard has some light staining on the edges but is otherwise in very good condition and would make a wonderful addition to a postcard collection.
